I haven't sat down and -made- something in Photoshop in almost a year. I've done quite a few things for work that were just straight up marketing (for an elderly demographic, so i couldn't really work that far outside the box. & it was a side project sort of thing). Otherwise, I don't even open Photoshop.

A lot of that ultimately came from feeling like when I did go to do something, it didn't feel right. I saw things that felt inspiring, but ultimately I couldn't find my own ideas from the inspirations. What I was doing just didn't feel like me. So I'm just feeling really stuck.

I got a 700 page book that covers everything from the basic to printing. The book itself is actually geared towards CS4 in the aspect of photography, not manipulation. I never went to school at all & have pulled everything I've learned from what I've had to do in a small scope. So I'm hoping instead of looking for inspiration, looking towards technique might lead me to find the inspiration of my own that I've been hoping to gain.

We'll see. I do know that this stuff still gets me enthralled. The book is good.
